I created Plantone because I love plants - more than a little, apparently - This is a tribute to my passions: color, plants, and words. Plantone is what happens when you select a plant, and mix it with Pantone®️ and words.
I am a graphic designer by nature. This colorful catalog of plants is a project I started in the middle of the pandemic; the first post was on July 2, 2020 and it has grown ever since. In the beginning, the creative process started with me asking friends to share their favorite plants and adding the ones I loved the most. Plantone currently includes posts with designs from the most common plants to the most exotic ones. I love creating these as much as I did at the beginning, discovering new plants and developing them into Plantones.
I started receiving likes and comments on each post and requesting their own Plantone created. Currently, Plantones are now available for purchase. Wait for the book!
In 2022, the most loved Plantone was our creation for the Cempasúchitl flower (Marigold) in celebration of the Day of the Death. The most popular Plantone is #420C – Marihuana; my personal favorites are Monsteras and Ferns.
